HOPES ACHIEVED
Services

I hope to provide the items below and more. Some may be available through local charities. Most of these needs require immediate money.

Document fees

* Driver's license application or duplicate

* If not driving, then state ID application or duplicate

* Title and registration fees

* Birth certificate request, printing and shipping fees

Financial

* Monthly bank fees to protect their bank account so they can get paid when they find work. Even though other card options are available for getting paid, it is still important for their future to keep a bank account open and in good standing.

* Credit card minimum monthly payments to keep their good credit as intact as possible for the day when they find a way into housing and will need to pass a credit check with a credit score acceptable or required by the housing owner.

* If they already have bad credit due to their life circumstances, obtaining a secured credit card and keeping it in good standing will help with securing housing

EVERYDAY AND PERIODIC NEEDS:

Clothing:

* Prepackaged underclothes

* Winter cold protection: gloves, coats, blankets and warmer socks

* Summer heat protection: hat and thinner, cooler socks that breathe

* Cool clothes in the summer that allow air flow

Supplies:

* Hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol

* Soap that easily rinses off

* Paper towels

* Baggies

* Trash bags

Food:

* Water in appropriate size, form and volume for their living scenario

SPECIFIC SCENARIOS:

Living on the street in a vehicle:

* Gas, because:

* driving is necessary to keep the vehicle functional

* staying in one spot long term will draw attention from the police or someone who will call the police and this sometimes leads to arrest for loitering, trespassing, etc.

* need to find bathrooms throughout the day

* need to find shade in the warmer months and if the vehicle is a dark color. The temperature inside a vehicle, especially a dark colored one, is 5-15 degrees hotter, even at night, and the sun raises the temperature even more. In addition, the nature and volume of belongings typically kept inside the vehicle when living it it absorb that heat and release it very slowing, making it still too warm at night to sleep if it was sitting in the sun during the day

* need to find a place to sleep each night

* need to get to work on time and get back safely to wherever they are sleeping

* Car insurance, because

* the police can take the vehicle away if insurance is not paid, calling it an abandoned vehicle. Not only would the person be without the vehicle and on foot, they would likely never be able to afford the very expensive towing, impound and abandoned vehicle charges, even if they did find a way to pay the insurance payment, so they would still lose the vehicle, and therefore their only "home"

* Window tinting for privacy when changing clothes, attempting to clean up or asleep and vulnerable

Living on the street without a vehicle:

* Cart, backpacks, suitcase, etc. to carry their belongings in. If they don't have a way to keep their things with them, the risk of their belongings being stolen or removed by the police is high.

* Tarp or other protection for shade and rain protection for themselves and their belongings (and pet if they have one)

In poverty:

* Cart to carry groceries, and water jugs if necessary, if they don't have or can't afford to drive a vehicle

* Utilities and trash are necessary services to maintain a healthy home. Electricity to keep critical services available is important in any home and more so if electric medical equipment is being used. Without electricity, food storage and cooking in a safe and healthy way also stop. Without water, sewer and trash services, sanitation quickly becomes a crisis and illness sets in.

* Possible re-education to be able to obtain a higher level of livelihood.

* Other creative solutions to address additional issues that may lead to homelessness or possibly desperate, unhealthy or even illegal, behavior in an attempt to deal with the situation they are finding themselves in.

Housing

* Having a home can save a life. Shelter is a God given right, but the mechanics of our society interfere with this right for a large segment of the population. Creative solutions to housing restrictrions are necessary.
